Regulation (EU) No 787/2019 on the definition, description, presentation, and labelling and the protection of geographical indications for spirit drinks — the provisions on geographical indications in this regulation became applicable from 8 June 2019. For Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales), these regulations became retained EU law through the EU (Withdrawal) Act 2018, with operability amendments made through secondary legislation.
